How do I test and tag my equipment?
To test and tag your electrical equipment you need to be a licensed technician compliant with all of the relevant local regulations. In Western Australia Worksafe governs the licensing of technicians for the purpose of safely conducting testing and tagging both in workshops and also in the field or your business premise. All licensed technicians who carry out test and tag work must carry out their work to conform with Australian Standards (AU/NZS 3760). Test and tag regulations require the date of the test, date for the next test, who (or which company) performed the test and a tag identification to be ‘tagged’ on the appliance as well as a record kept for each appliance which is subject to test and tag procedures.
